The property owned by John Levi Broadway. 6601 Vaughn Rd. Montgomery, Alabama. He had a two story house on the property. This is where the MPD set him up in 1973. Dr. Rogers DVM, an old friend of Broadway’s owns the property and called it, “Rogers Christmas Tree Farm.”
The Drug Bust took place in 1973. Here is a transcript of the case John L. Broadway filed to appeal his conviction. His attorney Bobby Segall, long time friend, represented Broadway in absentia. Broadway was living in exile in Costa Rica. The appeal didn’t work and John Broadway who had been declared a fugitive from justice would have to stay in Costa Rica. District Attorney Ellen Brooks and District Attorney Darryl Bailey of Montgomery County knew he was in Costa Rica for decades.
The truth is The Montgomery Police Department set up John Levi Broadway. John and Will von Gal and many others in Montgomery knew The MPD had murdered citizens in cold blood. John was not going to stand for this injustice.
Also John liked to date African- American women, and the racists in Montgomery did not like that about him. The powerful families in Montgomery who didn’t want him to be Governor of Alabama set John up to lose everything he had ever known. They forced him to leave the USA or be incarcerated.
John did not get to see his Mom or hold her hand while she was dying. Fuck the people in high places who continue to coverup these crimes. Murder has no statute of limitations.
Attorney Bobby Segall today : he works for Copeland and Franco Attorneys at Law in Montgomery, Alabama. He is a City Attorney for The City of Selma, Alabama.
